4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?

5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
Surprised that i started to contact reps about my music video, but thats probably because im passionate about creating it.
1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening? i felt engaged when we all worked on our script together as a group instead of doing it on our won. Its better if we all put our input to it so that we have a better idea of what is going on. Team effort! Also i enjoyed working in a group for Dave's Documentary. its less hassle and plus we all get a certain role for what we need to do for e.g. one of us could gather all the research while others can work on voxpops or make a survey related to our documentary.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were discussing short film ideas, themes and ideas on how to improve our silent film script. So far the script we have produced has gone really well. we just need to add some few points to make it a bit lively. Something to engage the audience/reader. Maybe if we change some points of it. However i liked what we have written as a group and maybe we could just think about the theme of the script and think about what kind of message are we trying to give the reader.
2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
Catching up with the silent film story, but only momentarily.
3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful? so far i took some advices from mark of how we can improve our silent script. He pointed out some of the films that we could watch to help us improve our script like for e.g. Fight club and the Hero. So i'll probably watch them films an take some notes on how we could relate it to our spain script. Its helpful take someone else opinion about the script.
Suggestions on how to improve the script. make it more lively. go into more depth with the characters or the scenes.
4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
Hasn't happened this week.
5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.) it will be nice if some people would actually put their input towards the work. Beacuse i dont want them to be left out. I want other peoples idea about the script. After all we are doing this as a group.

1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?
ReplyDeleteThis morning during the short film screenings. I think this is an interesting activity that gives us all something to think about.
2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
I felt partly distanced during the session when we were trying to sort out the script for Spain, mainly because my brain needed to catch up and remember what was going on so I don't feel I contributed much as I was slightly puzzled by this. I like the way everyone has been working together as a group on this project though.
3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
I think being given time to catch up on work this afternoon was helpful. We are all very busy with work at the moment so any spare time to work on it is much appreciated. It also gave me a chance to get my head around the short film assignment brief and discuss possible ideas.
4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
Nothing really, the only thing I was slightly confused by was the script but talking through it helps us to get to grips with it.
5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
Everyone seemed a bit tired and unenthusiastic at points today. I think this is due to the fact that it is almost half term and we managed to get some good ideas together for the script despite this :)

During the Spain script discussion I feel that it is becoming confusing with all the different characters arcs and I need a bit of breathing room from it.
3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
Mark was helpful as usual with his description of films that would help the Spain script and also updating his assignment brief.
4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
The spain script discussion baffled me as I feel that the level of detail and timescale of the script is very challenging.
5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
The enthusiasm of the class towards contacting music groups and producers to help with their assignment task.

ReplyDelete- During the short films in the morning and the chance to catch up with editing and subsequently learning more about the Pro effects.
2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
- C15 - Not the session itself, but catching up with the script with Nathan (nothing wrong with either, but technically it did distance from the session! Haha)
3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
- Tutor allowing us into the Mac suite as soon as it was available!
4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
- The short film presentations; because of the sunlight, it was difficult to see; ideally they should be shown in the lecture theatre.
5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
- The editing suite; much more to discover! :P
