At the begining of the morning session, it was a slow start.

When I was given feedback on my clip that I added music to because I was unsure of it.

How hard it is to pick the right music for a film/scene.
1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?
ReplyDeleteI felt really engaged throughout the entire of todays lesson it has been really insightful and helped me understand the use of music within film and how it can create an effect. I feel that I have really learnt and enhanced my skills in an area that I didn't like (mainly as I didn't understand it) If I had to pinpoint where I felt most completely engaged it would be when we did the practical task as I found it intriguing and I really enjoyed it.
2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
not today, felt completely in within the lesson and really understood what I was being taught, felt really engaging and helpful.
3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
I found it really beneficial that Mark did a variety of teaching styles to teach us about sound I think this helped engaged all the students in their own way.
4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
I found it really confusing that I didn't realise which clip I was editing been a huge fan of Damien Rice for the past 4 months and should have realised which song was used. Really confused me seeing it in a different context.

I felt surprised by how much I took in I felt that the lesson was fun and helped me learn how to add sound to films and the effect this has on the audience.

I enjoy listening to music, but not so much working with it. So I felt I did a good chop cutting the clip and the track so they meshed, but still flowed fluidly.

ReplyDeleteThis week I felt most engaged during the sound editing task, I loved searching for new sounds to complement the video.

This week I felt engaged during all the tasks, I would still like some clarification with some aspects of the assignment brief.

Mark was very helpful as usual and my peers were also helpful with finding tools to convert the video to sound format.

This week I cannot recall any confusing actions, I would have liked to see more short films being shown in class from peers.

The fantastic use of sound from directors such as Tarantino and how sound can be edited to create various meanings.

1. I felt most engaged when we were listening to music scores and having a discussion about what the score felt to us.
ReplyDelete2.The editing task was good but hard to find the right mix of music but a fun task just wish you could have used a clip yourself

ReplyDeleteWhen we were shown the music in film presentation, especially Tarantino as i have noticed personally his skills using music within his films.

Didnt feel distanced at all this session; music is a passion as well as film personally, so i love to engage the two together and learn how to create meanings through each.

when i was told how to retrieve my work from a certain editing software.

Didnt feel confused this session as such; but i am getting more comfortable with editing techniques and using the program more efficiently.

Surprised myself at how i could quickly think of scenarios for music in film; blind test and also putting our own music to the film clips.
