  1. Hi Mark,
with regards to your assignment I have received the rights from two musicians.
I want to clarify can the musicians be a part of the videos as actors with the music pre recorded and playing on the video?
    Many thanks.

  2. who you use for your actors is entirely up to you - feel free to use the band members....the music will guide the narrative but you are not making a music video in the traditional sense, i.e. the band playing instruments.

  3. to clarify - you are making a short fiction film that features music.

  5. Hi Mark,
Just to clarify having spoken to my uncle who is a session musician, we discussed about the idea of shooting the video, when you state that it has to be a fictional film can it be promotional for the artist? E.g although it is not a video filming the artist can it use promotional material.

If not I have another fiction film created with another artist.

    Thanks. . .

  6. what you do with it once it's complete is up to you...the artist can use it. i won't be marking you on that so don't worry.

you just need to make sure that it isn't a video in which the band/artist sit playing instruments. you're making a narrative that features music.

beyond that you can do whatever you like...
